The Person Behind the Work
Youssef
Shahboun
IT Director · Enterprise Technology Leader
Most technology leaders understand either the systems or the business.
I bring both — and I stay through delivery.
A strategy that never reaches implementation
is just a document.
My Story
The Results Do the Talking.
I started in IT while still studying Information Systems at university — not in a classroom-project sense, but with actual infrastructure, real production code, and enterprise systems that organizations ran their business on. That early exposure to real stakes shaped everything that came after.
Over 25 years, my work has crossed every major technology domain: SAP ERP, Microsoft Dynamics, ODOO, network architecture, cybersecurity, VoIP, digital transformation, and enterprise application governance — across pharmaceutical, financial services, manufacturing, FMCG, higher education, and more. The through-line in all of it has been delivery. A strategy that never reaches implementation is just a document.
I currently serve as IT Director at Zewail City of Science & Technology, directing infrastructure strategy, digital transformation, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems at Egypt's premier scientific research and technology university. Most technology leaders understand either the systems or the business. I bring both — and I stay through delivery.
The test I apply to every decision is straightforward: does this serve a real business purpose? If it does, it gets built properly. If it doesn't, it doesn't matter how technically impressive it looks.
